Official Rules
1. All dogs must be Dachshunds or more affectionately a sausage dog. Sorry no mixed breeds allowed.
2. Proof of current rabies vaccination as of the date of the event must be provided with registration.
3. A $10 registration fee is required.
4. All dogs must be accompanied by a responsible person 18 years of age or older.
5. All responsible persons must show ID and sign a liability waiver before entering the race. Persons under 18 will need to sign with a legal guardian
6. Dog owners are responsible to clean up after their dog. All Dogs must always remain on a leash unless actively racing.
7. No more and no less than 2 people must be available during the race, 1 at the start and 1 at the finish. One of these people must be an adult.
8. You may use a toy or treat to entice your dog, but you must stay behind the finish line until your dog comes to you. The toy or treat may not be thrown or tossed.
9. You may not run along side the dog for the safety of the other dogs, yourself, and other spectators.
10. If you touch your dog before completely crossing the finish line, your dog will be disqualified.
11. All race judge decisions are final.
